The Black Hills Area Community Foundation awards two rounds of capacity building grants each year to a wide variety of nonprofits.
At $5,000 each, these Capacity Building Grants fill a critical gap by supporting the infrastructure needed to sustain a nonprofit’s mission-focused programs. The funding supports strategic planning, marketing, staff and board development, measurements and evaluation technology support, supplies, and more. The first round of Capacity Building Grants for 2025 supported 11 nonprofits in the Black Hills region.
